Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your mental health services. This estimate includes the anticipated fees for sessions and any additional services you may choose to participate in.

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you begin therapy or at any time you request one. The estimate will outline:
• The cost per session
• The frequency and type of services recommended
• Any additional or optional services (such as breathwork sessions)
• The projected total cost for 12 months of care

Your actual treatment plan may change over time. If your needs shift or you decide to adjust the frequency of sessions, we will discuss these updates together and provide an updated estimate upon request.

You have the right to:
• Receive a GFE before starting services
• Request a new estimate at any time
• Dispute a bill that is substantially higher than the estimate
• Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charge. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract — it is simply a tool to help you understand and plan for the cost of your care.

If you have any questions about your estimate or your expected costs, I’m always open to discussing them with you.
